Cruising the Caribbean in Style: My 7-Night Voyage on the MSC Seashore

In February 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to set sail aboard the MSC Seashore for an unforgettable 7-night Caribbean cruise. Departing from Cape Canaveral, Florida, this trip was the perfect winter escape filled with crystal-clear waters, ancient wonders, and luxurious ship amenities.

Setting Sail from Cape Canaveral

Our journey began on Sunday, February 16, as we departed from Cape Canaveral. As the ship pulled away from port, excitement filled the air. The MSC Seashore is a stunning vessel—sleek, modern, and packed with features that make every moment on board a pleasure. With multiple pools, dining options, entertainment venues, and open decks, it truly felt like a floating resort.

Nassau, Bahamas — Monday, February 17

We arrived in Nassau the next morning to sunshine and Caribbean charm. I spent the day strolling through the local markets and enjoying a mix of culture, color, and beach time. The contrast between old colonial architecture and turquoise waters made for some beautiful photography opportunities.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve — Tuesday, February 18

Ocean Cay was an absolute highlight. This private island, developed by MSC, offers everything from snorkeling and paddleboarding to simply relaxing on powdery sand. The protected marine environment is pristine, and the water was some of the clearest I’ve ever seen.

Sea Day — Wednesday, February 19

Midweek, we had a full day at sea, giving me time to explore more of the ship. Whether lounging on the upper deck, trying the sports bar, or enjoying a show in the evening, I never ran out of things to do. MSC knows how to blend luxury with fun.

Costa Maya, Mexico — Thursday, February 20

Costa Maya took us deeper into the rich heritage of Mexico. We hired a taxi and took a one hour trip around to explore Costa Maya. The lush surroundings and historic significance made this an eye-opening stop.

Cozumel, Mexico — Friday, February 21

Our next stop was Cozumel, and from there, I joined an excursion to one of the New Seven Wonders of the World: Chichén Itzá. Standing before the iconic El Castillo pyramid was surreal—an awe-inspiring moment I’ll never forget. The site is not only an archaeological masterpiece but also a spiritual landmark that speaks volumes about the ingenuity of the ancient Maya.

Final Sea Day & Return — Saturday & Sunday

Saturday gave us another chance to soak in the ship’s offerings, unwind, and reflect on the journey. On Sunday, we returned to Cape Canaveral, wrapping up a week of adventure, history, and luxury.

Final Thoughts

This cruise had the perfect blend of leisure and learning, history and modern comfort. Whether you’re a seasoned cruiser or planning your first voyage, the MSC Seashore is an excellent choice for discovering the Caribbean in style.
